As a Transfer Student

You are considered a transfer student if you’ve completed at least 12 credit hours of college-level work after graduating from high school. Transfer students may apply for admission for fall, spring, or summer semester. If you are considering transferring to Lincoln College-Normal you will need to:

*Applicants who are on academic probation at their previous institution(s) will be considered by the ARC Committee for provisional acceptance, and in most cases a personal statement, interview, and/or letters of recommendation will be required.

Which credentials are considered?

In order to receive consideration for transfer admission to Lincoln College-Normal, we recommend that students present a strong record of college study by having a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. It should be noted, however, that requirements may vary depending on the academic program of choice.

Will Your Credits Transfer?

Lincoln College-Normal works very closely within the guidelines of the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) to make sure that most coursework will transfer seamlessly into other IAI schools.  Students transferring out-of-state have access to their academic advisors who can help them decide on an appropriate course of study to best suit the transferability of their courses into other states.
